Bold New Colors Refresh Miu Miu’s Matelassé Icons—And We’re Obsessed

Few brands offer a vision as distinct and individual as Miu Miu’s, and a huge part of that specific brand DNA lies in Miu Miu Matelassé. Matelassé leather has become synonymous with the House, denoting everything Miu Miu stands for—playful yet sophisticated, pragmatic yet still of the moment.

Combining rich texture with unmatched attention to detail and craft, Miu Miu has perfected the Matelassé technique over the years, keeping it both relevant and highly coveted over time. It is arguably the House’s most important brand signifier, and this spring Miu Miu celebrates the classic yet contemporary appeal of Matelassé.

Re-Discovering Miu Miu Matelassé

Photographed by Steven Meisel, new campaign images starring Gigi Hadid reintroduce Miu Miu’s iconic Matelassé. Taking center stage are the Wander and Arcadie bags, two of the brand’s most emblematic silhouettes.

While both bags are redefined seasonally in new materials and novelty iterations, Matelassé will always endure. This season, the House entices us to rediscover the beauty of this heritage technique, introducing a series of exclusive colors.

Pop colors like Mango green and Wave Blue highlight Matelassé’s tactile appeal and unmatched craft, while bright white offers a more refined take on the signature material. Rediscover the everlasting appeal of Miu Miu Matelassé below.
