Coach 1941's Spring 2017 Bags Are A Rockabilly Throwback With A Special Appearance By Elvis

Coach creative director Stuart Vevers might be British, but he embraces classic American culture, especially that of the American West, with very open arms. He’s been mining the Americana aesthetic for Coach 1941’s collections since he arrived several seasons ago, and for Coach 1941’s Spring 2017 collection, Vevers added a touch of a classic American icon: Elvis, whose name and visage appears on several of the bags that are available in very limited quantities to buy immediately via Coach’s website.

The collection as a whole features the studding, rough stitching, patch embellishments, leather accents and the rich, dark color palette that have become the brand’s hallmarks under Vevers, with the seasonal additions of intricate embroidery and bandana-print silk scarves. There are also plenty of tassels, chains and locks, which make this collection the brand’s most ambitious and detailed yet. These are the kind of bags that could easily elevate a simple jeans-and-sweater look into something much more fashion-forward, which makes them a smart buy if you’re looking for key pieces to usher your wardrobe in a new direction.
