Based on the comments many of you left on our posts about Coach’s Pre-Fall 2016 and Fall 2016 collections (and based on how quickly the limited edition NYFW versions of the bag sold out), plenty of you have been anticipating the arrival of the Coach Rogue Bag, and we have some good news for you: the first 11 regular-release renditions of the Rogue have arrived at Coach’s website for your shopping pleasure.

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing several versions of the bag in person, and I feel totally comfortable giving it a stamp of approval. (And no, for those who will inevitably ask–this post is not sponsored in any way. As weird as it is for someone to genuinely like something on the Internet, I genuinely like this bag.) The Rogue is from Coach 1941, which is Coach’s runway line; that means it’s more expensive than you might be used to from the brand, with an all-leather version starting at $795 and exotic-accented versions going for $1,200 for python and $1,400 for ostrich in the one size currently available. Coach Rogue Bag Inside

The basic leather version of the Rogue, when viewed in person, presents a good argument for its elevated price tag. The glove-tanned leather is thick, sturdy and lightly pebbled; the bag holds its shape but has some give to it, and it feels like it will wear well over time. The body of the bag is divided into three compartments, the outer two of which are lined in contrasting suede, and although it does add weight, the divisions and details make the bag feel like a lot of care went into designing it. The Rogue feels expensive, which is more than I can say for plenty of bags that cost more.

I’m not sure I’d personally be willing to pay the additional price for the exotic details, but they do add a very nice visual touch to the whole package, which manages to feel special without being over-detailed or over-designed.
