Fendi pulled out all the stops to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its iconic Baguette bag, trading its usual Milan runway for the bright lights of New York City during Fashion Week. The event was a love letter to the bag that became a pop culture phenomenon, thanks in part to its famous appearance on Sex and the City.

A Grand Arrival in the Big Apple

Guests were treated to an experience unlike any other. Upon checking into their hotel, they discovered a lavish Fendi goodie bag filled with champagne, a miniature Baguette, and a detailed itinerary—though the specifics remained a mystery until the last minute.

The adventure began with private drivers whisking guests to Battery Park, where a private Fendi ferry awaited. The boat cruised past the Statue of Liberty before docking at Ellis Island, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening.

An Enchanted Evening on Ellis Island

The cocktail reception featured live music and breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline. Dinner was held in a grand hall illuminated by thousands of candles arranged in the shape of Fendi's iconic Zucca print. The ambiance was nothing short of magical.

Fendi Chairman and CEO Serge Brunschwig addressed the guests, celebrating the brand's heritage and the Baguette's enduring legacy. The room was filled with custom Baguettes in every imaginable style, a testament to the bag's versatility.

The Main Event: A Runway Show Like No Other

The following day, guests were pampered with professional hair and makeup before heading to the Hammerstein Ballroom in midtown Manhattan. The venue was transformed into a stunning spectacle, with separate entrances for VIPs and celebrities.

The show began with Artistic Director Kim Jones pulling back a curtain to reveal a giant mirror. As the music pulsed, the mirror vibrated in rhythm, and models strode out in a collection that was colorful, edgy, and quintessentially Fendi. Supermodels Vittoria Ceretti and Bella Hadid graced the runway, captivating the audience.

The grand finale saw the mirror illuminate to reveal the models once more, joined by Delfina Delettrez, Silvia Fendi, Marc Jacobs, and Kim Jones. The special guest was none other than Linda Evangelista, who carried a stunning all-silver Tiffany Baguette valued at around 0,000.

Star-Studded Guest List

The event drew a who's who of fashion and entertainment, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss, Anna Wintour, Kim Kardashian, Winnie Harlow, and many more. The after-party at Le Pavillon at One Vanderbilt featured celebrity chef Daniel Boulud mingling with guests.

Exclusive Re-See and Pre-Orders

The next day, a re-see was held at the luxurious 35 Hudson Yards penthouse, where select pieces from the collection were available for pre-order. Among the highlights was the Sarah Jessica Parker Baguette, featuring gradient sequins in pink, purple, blue, and green, each with interchangeable buckles and packaged in a box emblazoned with the iconic SATC line.

Other standout pieces included a crocodile Baguette adorned with three carats of diamonds and white gold hardware, priced at 0,000, as well as leather and silk versions with Tiffany silver hardware.
