This year's theme, 'Dialect,' explores the unique language of skills and stories that each artisan brings, transcending borders and adversity.

A Collaborative Tapestry of Cultures

Designers from Vermont and Louis Vuitton worked hand-in-hand with refugee craftsmen from Ukraine, Syria, Sri Lanka, Venezuela, Japan, Lithuania, and Georgia, all supported by La Fabrique NOMADE. Over several months, these creative minds merged their expertise to produce a collection that celebrates the diversity and singularity of each artisan's journey.

The collection comprises five embroidered accessories and three jewelry pieces adorned with sapphires and pearls. Each item not only showcases precious, sometimes ancestral, techniques but also reinterprets them in a contemporary light, creating a truly unique series that speaks to the resilience and beauty of the human spirit.

Since 2019, LVMH has been a dedicated partner of La Fabrique NOMADE, supporting refugee artisans in continuing to practice their crafts despite living in exile. By offering skills mentorship and opening the doors of its Maisons' workshops, the Group fosters the transmission of savoir-faire and encourages meaningful exchanges that facilitate the integration of these talented individuals into the professional world.

In 2023, three LVMH Maisons played pivotal roles:

Chaumet provided technical mentorship, sharing its fine jewelry expertise.
Vermont (part of Christian Dior Couture) shared its embroidery know-how and contributed to the creative research for the Traits d'union 7 collection.
Louis Vuitton involved its Head Designer for Women's Fashion Show Jewelry in the conception of the jewelry pieces. Additionally, Louis Vuitton employed a craftswoman from La Fabrique NOMADE in its historic Asnières workshop and supported the 2023 cohort of artisans in their training.
