An Archival Revival

An ode to Miu Miu’s heritage, the Aventure is inspired by a 2009 doctor bag, and this time, it also arrives as a vertical shopper. Miu Miu’s renaissance has been defined by its smaller Matelassé bags like the Wander and Arcadie, but this is the bag that I find most exciting.

It has the ideal amount of charm melded with functionality and usability—two things that define the perfect daily haul-all. Crafted from vegetable-tanned Nappa Aviator leather and finished with aged gold-tone hardware, the Aventure offers a relaxed construction and the effortless appeal of a lived-in look.

It feels like a true embodiment of what the Miu Miu individual would carry.

The Details

If you’re looking for an everyday bag, the Aventure bag will tote it all. Its large interior is expansive, offering a zipped pocket for smaller necessities. The straps comfortably sit over the shoulder, or it can be carried in the crook of the arm.

This bag truly strikes the ideal balance of function and style. The leather is meant to look loved, another noteworthy feature of a bag you’ll carry everywhere. The overall dimensions are 31cm H x 40cm W x 13cm L.

Then there’s the smaller Aventure Top Handle. Pulling from the Miu Miu archives, it offers a vintage appeal, modernized to be lighter in construction, giving off a bit of edge.

Arriving in two sizes, the larger of the two still offers a decently sized interior, with room to hold a large wallet, a cell phone, a small notebook, and other items. Dimensions are 17cm H x 33cm W x 11cm D.

While we took just the two larger shapes out to play, there is a smaller size of the top handle for the mini bag lovers among us. Both sizes offer a double-zip top, interior zippered, and patch pockets with a shoulder strap that can be adjusted and/or completely removed.
